पश्चिम एशिया का युद्ध, क्या दर्द देता है?
हाँ, देता है। बहुत दर्द देता है।
मेरे अस्तित्व के हर हिस्से को चुभता है।

जब मैं गैस खरीदता हूँ, तो दर्द होता है।
जब मैं राशन खरीदता हूँ, तब भी दर्द होता है।
मेरी पत्नी उदास और मायूस हो जाती है,
जब उसे अपने कपड़ों और सौंदर्य प्रसाधनों के लिए
दोगुना पैसा चुकाना पड़ता है।

हम संवेदनशील और सभ्य लोग हैं,
वास्तव में ईश्वर की कृपा से धन्य हैं।
हमें कोई आपत्ति नहीं होती
आसमान से मौत और तबाही बरसाकर
लोगों का कत्लेआम करने में।

हम बड़ी लगन से गिनते रहते हैं
अपने कथित दुश्मनों की लाशें।

संयुक्त राष्ट्र संगठन
चिल्ला रहा है
युद्ध अपराध, नरसंहार,
बच्चों की हत्या, कृत्रिम अकाल,
मानवता के खिलाफ अपराध
और न जाने क्या-क्या।

तो क्या हुआ?
यह एक महाशक्ति द्वारा लड़ा जा रहा युद्ध है,
और प्रेम और युद्ध में
सब कुछ जायज़ होता है।

West Asia War, does it hurt? 

Surely it does. It hurts. It sucks.

at every aspect of my being.

It hurts me when I buy Gas 

It hurts me when I buy groceries 

My wife feels morose and unhappy

When she pays double the money

for her dresses and cosmetics.

We are sensitive, civilised people

blessed by God indeed.

We do not mind massacring people 

by raining death and destruction from the skies.

We diligently keep counting bodies

of our perceived adversaries.

The United Nations Organisation

is shouting War Crimes, Genocide

Child killing, man-made famine,

Crimes against humanity

and whatnot, so what?

IT is a war waged by a superpower,

And everything goes in love and war
